This is a book about Johnny that doesn't like to eat peas, he found a solution and told his friends, this is a cute story about a problem that a lot of parents are having at some point. There is a nice twist to the end of the story. This is a beautiful story and illustration. Kids will love this book. The different text color is a nice touch. I found issue with the text. On some pages, it is too small and I had a problem to read it. I recommend the book for kids ages 3-7. Barbara Mojica reviewed Where are the number ?: Children's book ages 3-7 (The adventures of the numbers 1) 4 stars 📷 1, 2, 3, Who Do You See October 27, 2017 The author creates a story line revolving around the number one, who is lonely because he doesn't have playmates. So he goes off in search of the number two. As the story progresses the chain of number friends increases as the previous numbers search for the next number in the series. After number one has found numbers two through nine, they all search for zero Children are introduced to different ways of adding numbers together as the story evolves. Parents will need to be involved in explaining this part of the story. Shaltiel varies the setting and the seasons. Readers visit the beach, desert, the sea, and the city, to mention a few. In my opinion, the random choice of stock images and the variation in the size of the text is a minor weakness. Overall, the colors are vibrant and the number characters appealing. Parents and teachers who are interested in introducing preschoolers to the concept of numbers and addition will find this book an interesting way to do so. As a bonus, the author offers a free coloring book. Travel the world with numbers The adventures of the numbers 2 New! January 4, 2018 This is a fun little book about a group of numbers (zero through nine) who go on a trip around the world together. The photos of the different places are awesome. The numbers are repeated through out the book, which helps kids who are learning how to count. I especially enjoyed the fact there are facts given about each place the numbers visit. The quotes of things the numbers say is a nice touch. I would have like to see the numbers alternate between he and she, so if I were to read it out loud I would probably verbally edit that. The adventures of the Numbers 3 Review: 4.0 out of 5 stars Kids learn about math and social studies together October 21, 2018 Verified Purchase The concept for this book is great—for kids to learn about math together with social studies. Number 10 goes on a trip and travels to various places in New York and Pennsylvania. In each place he asks the locals about the history. They tell him to visit certain historical sites which he does. There isn’t much in depth information about the places, but kids will learn some geography. The math is inserted into speech bubbles and contains simple addition up to 10. I found the images and fonts to be rudimentary, but they are bright and should appeal to kids nonetheless. Halloween activity book: Coloring, counting, mazes and hidden words game-for kids. - Review for "RONAN'S DINOSAUR" The author: Nadishka Aloysius
I love the story and the illustration. 5 stars In the story, “Ronan's Dinosaur”, the kid Ronan and his parents are coming to live temporarily with the grandmother. At first, Ronan is reluctant to go out to the garden, but then he found there a surprise, he found a dinosaur that becomes his friend. I love the book, this is a beautiful short story, it is fluent and inviting, this story is about friendship, overcoming fear, difficulties and growing up. We can see how the unsecured boy becomes more confident in himself when it was time to go back home. There was a nice way to deal with conflict, Ronan has a friend that the adult can't see. The author did a very good job of telling the story. I highly recommend that book to kids 7-10. I got the book from the author in a review group, in exchange for an honest review. About Nadishka Aloysius Nadishka Aloysius took to writing at the behest of her two children. Her books so far are all based in her home country of Sri Lanka. Being a teacher with over 18 years of experience in the field, and a mother of two sons who love story time, she finds inspiration in the little everyday details of life.
- Review for "The wrong time"
This is a short story in a collection book. In this story, Sean O'Riley is going home one day, but he finds himself sacked to a parallel world. His mission is to come back to his home. We are learning about his life before and after the event. Sean is joining a scientist on his journey to find his way to the right place at the right time. I like that story. It has a lot of suspend of which way the story will go. It is a journey across worlds and time. which in each of them the possibilities are endless. I like also that it is a story about a writer that have struggles about his books and the way he deals with it on different worlds. But part 2 it doesn't go well with me. I think it ruins the whole tempo of the story. Everything becomes too easy, and there is no challenge anymore. And from a good person, he changed to something else. If the story hes been finished on part one. I would have given this story 5 stars, but because of part two, I am giving it only 4 stars.
- About the Author
I would like to tell you about myself and my writing. My name is Ronit Shaltiel. I have been reading books since I was about nine or ten. But I didn't start writing until I was about 18. reading was something that everyone was doing at that time. At first, I wrote some poems. When I was in my twenties I wrote my first book. It was a collection of short stories. But all of that was to remain on a notebook or computer, it never saw the light of day. When my son was born in 2001 I changed my genre, I started to write children's books. I have tried to publish with the traditional publishing houses. I had no luck. When I found out about self-publishing I decided to go for it. I control my contact, and I like the idea that I don't have to wait for somebody to publish my books. I have a message and I want it to be out to the world in my free time, with my timing. I am also a graphics designer, so I could do the books by my self without hiring anybody to do the work for me. My mother-in-law is an English teacher, so she is helping me with grammatical editing. Photography is one of my passions, I had the idea to use it in my books. And now the technology is ready for that. I am using photos as a background for the pages of my book. I am working on a series of books about numbers that are traveling and having math fun together. I am planning to have 11 books on this series. It called The Adventures of the Numbers This series had started with an idea of my son. He was about 4 or 5, and he started to learn about numbers. And he was fascinated by them, I used to read to him every night. And sometimes we made up our own books. He was drawing it, and I wrote the text. And one of those books is the foundation of that series. In this book, Number 1 is searching for the rest of the numbers, and they are having math exercises together. There are also 4 coloring books that are connected to the series- Coloring with the Numbers. I have published also Holidays Coloring books. Click here go to my Amazon page
