This little coloring book about numbers is a great tool for parents to use to engage their children in a fun way to love numbers. I loved the clever faces and shapes. As a teacher and children's storybook illustrator myself, I couldn't wait to dive in with my markers and enjoy the adventure finding sums with the children in my life. A fun way to supplement what kids learn at school!

There aren't any coloring books in the marketplace that combine coloring with learning about numbers. This coloring book can be used to introduce young children to numbers and the different ways to get the same sum or use it as a pleasant way to reinforce classroom learning.

📷 Math is always more fun in colouring books February 20, 2017

Math is always more fun in colouring books. This book deals with numerals 1-20. There is one array for each numeral for your child to colour, and 2-4 number sentences corresponding to each numeral. You need to sit with your child to show that one array can be divided differently, as there are no instructions on the pages.

Math is tons of fun when it's presented and taught in a fun way. A full understanding of number sense is expected of children at their age appropriate level. That's exactly what this book provides. The drawings are fun to color, and they bring lots more educational material to a child's mind than a simple coloring book offers. A parent's responsibility is to introduce their child to seemingly hard subjects with the proper choice of instruction. This book presents and teaches numbers in a fun and exciting way. This book is a good parent choice to provide their children with a fun way to learn about numbers.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

📷 1, 2, 3, Who Do You See October 27, 2017

The author creates a story line revolving around the number one, who is lonely because he doesn't have playmates. So he goes off in search of the number two. As the story progresses the chain of number friends increases as the previous numbers search for the next number in the series. After number one has found numbers two through nine, they all search for zero

Children are introduced to different ways of adding numbers together as the story evolves. Parents will need to be involved in explaining this part of the story. Shaltiel varies the setting and the seasons. Readers visit the beach, desert, the sea, and the city, to mention a few. In my opinion, the random choice of stock images and the variation in the size of the text is a minor weakness. Overall, the colors are vibrant and the number characters appealing.

Parents and teachers who are interested in introducing preschoolers to the concept of numbers and addition will find this book an interesting way to do so. As a bonus, the author offers a free coloring book.

📷 Numbers Go On An Adventure! January 4, 2018

This is a fun little book about a group of numbers (zero through nine) who go on a trip around the world together. The photos of the different places are awesome. The numbers are repeated through out the book, which helps kids who are learning how to count.

I especially enjoyed the fact there are facts given about each place the numbers visit. The quotes of things the numbers say is a nice touch.

I would have like to see the numbers alternate between he and she, so if I were to read it out loud I would probably verbally edit that. Other than that, the book is perfect.

📷 A combination of Math and Social Studies January 3, 2018

This is a perfect book for introducing children to the concept of subtraction as well as exposing them to places they may have never seen. It's almost like a combination of a math and social studies lesson. A great picture book.

The concept for this book is great—for kids to learn about math together with social studies. Number 10 goes on a trip and travels to various places in New York and Pennsylvania. In each place he asks the locals about the history. They tell him to visit certain historical sites which he does. There isn’t much in depth information about the places, but kids will learn some geography. The math is inserted into speech bubbles and contains simple addition up to 10. I found the images and fonts to be rudimentary, but they are bright and should appeal to kids nonetheless.
